Common Questions
- My recipes aren’t syncing across devices Make sure iCloud is enabled on all your devices: go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and verify that YesChef has iCloud access turned on. A stable internet connection is also required for sync.
- I can’t share recipes with my household Both you and the other person need to be signed in to iCloud. Open YesChef, go to your Household settings, and send a fresh invite. The other person must accept the share from their device.
- Recipe import isn’t working from a website Not all websites publish recipes in a format YesChef can read. Try using the share button in Safari or Chrome to send the page directly to YesChef. If a site consistently fails, let us know and we’ll look into it.
- The app won’t open or freezes Try closing YesChef completely (swipe up from the app switcher) and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your device and make sure you’re running the latest version from the App Store.
- I want to delete all my data Open YesChef > Settings > Leave YesChef. This will permanently remove all your recipes, cookbooks, shopping lists, meal plans, and other data from your device and iCloud.
- Feature requests & bug reports We love hearing your ideas! Email us at the address above with your suggestion or a description of the bug. The more detail, the better.
